I chose to analyze On Dreams by Aristotle. Aristotle’s investigation of how and why dreams occur is very interesting because he was the imminent ancient Greek philosopher to describing how we explain dreams nowadays. He blatantly spurned the notion that dreams could foretell the future, and he believed that they be in possession of no real(a) purpose. Aristotle’s On Dreams examines where dreams hang from, and how and why they occur. Aristotle also discusses the soul, and what blow up it plays in the creation of dreams while cardinal is sleeping. I seted that our ability to learn and perceive things intelligently in our surrounding environment comes from one basic faculty that deals with the consciousness, cognition, perception, and awareness (Osborn). Obviously Aristotle was onto something, but it seems equal he might have misunderstood the four basic faculties of the human brain, for there is only one faculty that deals with the performance of knowledge, of both sense and intelligence.
