Memory Box
On Thursday, September 10, my TLC tier was assigned to bring in a Memory Box. And in that Memory Box had to be quint objects that we carry finish to our hearts. Five objects that re state who we are as a mortal whether it be personal, fun, unusual, engaging, or if we had some type of cultural federation to it. No matter what the full stop was we had to tell the story cigarette that item. I chose to bring in a white bills diamond ring, a paintbrush, a trophy, a terminatebie, and the Puerto Rican flag.
Out of the cinque objects I brought into class, I had two that meant a lot to me. The offshoot was a diamond ring because my father gave me that ring five years ago on my Sweet 16 as a symbol and as a reminder that I was entering “Woman Hood” and from that moment on I was no longer a little girl still a young lady. A young lady who depart be taking on a lot more than responsibilities and a young lady who would always try to do the best that she could do. A sweet 16 also has a lot of cultural significance to me because this is something that almost all womanly Latinas do. But instead of it being called a Sweet 16 in Latin countries it is called Quinceanera (Sweet 15). It is very similar to a Bar Mitzvah.




_ The second object that meant a lot to me which was also the item I decided to share with the class was my Barbie. My Barbie is about 18 years old and was given to me as a present for my third birthday. The reason why I cherish that Barbie so much and still till this day have merely to have opened it from the box is because my granddad gave me that Barbie. And though I cannot remember the day of my third birthday party my female parent tells me the story that out of all the Barbie’s I reliable that day the only Barbie I refused to open was the one my grandfather gave me. Every time I look at my Barbie it reminds me of him and because he is my only grandfather I love him twice as much than what I think I am speculate to.
