Introduction:
Burton Snowboard is a leader in developing, manufacturing, and promoting snowboards and snowboard accessories. Burton is the most well-known(a) snowboard manufacturer in the world. In 2008 Burton released two types of snowboards known as the Love and best boards. The Love boards featured four assorted Playboy photos on the top of the board. The Primo boards did not feature pornographic material, they featured graphical violence. These two types of boards did not stupefy a positive response from the community. Many organizations protested the market of these boards. The organizations consisted of The bloodless Ribbon Campaign of Vermont, Spectrum Youth Family Services, the Womens Rape Crisis message of Chittenden County, the University of Vermonts Presidents Commission on the stipulation of Women, the Howard Center, and the Vermont Network Against Domestic and Sexual Violence all protested the marketing of the Love and Primo boards.



Protestors wrote the images you are exploiting and the language you are victimisation in promoting this product perpetuate the sexual denigration and objectification of women and womens bodies and contribute directly to violence against women to Burton.
