Define Religion

When searching for the nub of the term righteousness, you would relatively arrest the same rendering anywhere. However, when meter reading the first unit, i wasnt sure that not every religion has a word for religion. I knew that religions are different everywhere but i judge that the term religion would be same everywhere as it is here. After reading further, i realized that there is no one definition that can satisfy on the whole religions and delay true to any religions. Because all religions are different and they suffice different things differently, how do you come up with a bonny definition that sums them all up? You really cant. This is called a POLYTHETIC definition meaning that there is no single trait that all religions share. I completely agree. some definitions may include deities, such as Islam and Christianity; others not (Buddhism and Shinto.) A broad definition of religion would generally include rituals, special symbols and artistic and music style, consecrated or special texts and a set of doctrines, (good) moral and behavioural codes. In my mind, i already had a definition of religion. to me it was believe in something or someone, praying for the good and bad, and devoting yourself and your time to something spiritual.



after reading through the unit a bit further, i instal out that not all religions believe in a diety or a god. now, my definition of religion would only impact to me. Some people turn to religion to make them face complete. I dont think this is true for all religions. Not all people practicing a religion would agree that they depend on religion to complete them as a whole. Yes its true for close religions, but not all. Unit 1 talks close which term they can sum up religious behaviors in general and they said ritual. they define ritual as any act that is performed repetitively and precisely whatever the meaning attached to it.
