The Atlantic World was a name for the the Statess, europium and Africa. It was given its name in the beginning of the Age of exploration in which Europeans set out to the the Statess. The name was given because of its billet between the Atlantic Ocean.
The three areas of the Atlantic World would be the Americas, Africa and Europe. These were the 3 continents. They used the Atlantic Ocean to trade goods and lean people. It was their oceanic highway so to speak. The continents traded goods and slaves using the Atlantic as its backbone. America borrowed British industrial technology to further their populations.
America was founded to allow people religious freedom and to live as they pleased. Europe was majority Christian, and the biggest church was the Catholic Church, which was founded in Rome. Europeans begin to migrate to America to escape the rise of Protestant churches. upstart religions and ideas spread throughout the Atlantic World like fire.
With this newfound religious freedom came visionaries and philosophers whose ideas of human reason moved to the Americas.
Textbooks slangt often focus enough on the Atlantic World and the affect it had on Europe Africa and the Americas. America wasnt built up alone, ideas from both civilizations helped create and mold America into what it is today.
