THE HUNGERY GAMES

The Hunger posts by Suzanne collins is an action packed, bop struck novel written for novel adults (YA). Even though teen were the main audience targeted, the take hold has struck chords with parents as well and has been a best seller since it came out.
I can certainly see why the handwriting was such a hit. The novel struck legion(predicate) chords and many themes (teenage anguish, love, work, p everywherety and more), was an easy and quick read, as well as full of action. Ms. Collins built a fantastical and credible world where the United States is no more and instead the clownish is called Panem which is run by The Capital and divided into 12 regularises. In district 12, an ace hunter Katniss Everdeen, a 16 family old little girl, carves out a meager existence for herself, her junior sister Prim and their widowed mother. In order to preserve the 12 districts aware of who runs the county, the Capital arranges a game to the stopping point each year in an elaborate arena. Each district holds a drawing of one boy and one girl to go as tributes.



When her sister is picked, Katniss exercises her option to volunteer for the games. on with Katniss comes also Peeta, the bakers son, who grew up with her. Katniss and Peeta must fend for themselves against natural elements, the Game makers and the other contestants whose only option is to kill or be killed.
The story progresses quickly and fluently with well defined characters that throw off lame names. Dont tell me that the bakers son is named Peeta (Pita) wasnt on purpose. The love triangle was cliché, but I loved the violence and stronghold of this novel. The constant suspense kept me turning the pages, and I recall most readers did the same. I even equald the protagonist - a bow and arrow wielding female Wilhelm Tell, how can you not like her?
