Lives within Stories
A tier is something that comes from outside. But the meaning is something that emerges from within. When a myth reaches ones heart with deep meaning, it takes pick up of them. Once it does so, it remains with us. That is why Tim OBrien told about his experiences and the pile he met through stories. To remember and keep retelling a story it needs to cut right to the core.
