In the movie Little Miss Sunshine, the character Frank has recently lost his job, has gone through and through some relationship problems, and tried to commit suicide (his severely bandaged wrists are seen frequently throughout the movie). The suicide taste was made shortly before a trip his family was qualification and since he could not be left alone, he went on the trip with the family.
