Treating and Distributing Safe Drinking Water will focus on the following areas: safe drinking water, regulatory framework, update on the Drinking Water Quality Management Standard (DWQMS), water treatment, water distribution and working with pressurized equipment. Background The Honourable Dennis R. OConnor recognized the need for improved training for water operators in part two of the Report of the Walkerton Inquiry. O. Reg. 128/04 under the Safe Drinking Water Act requires drinking water operators and water feeling analysts to take a mandatory MOE training course as a condition of certificate renewal.
