Starry Night

The blushering, The Starry Night by Vincent van van van Gogh is a famous and classical foot of art work.  forefront Gogh uses very cool coloured oil paints in extensive quantities on a canvas for this night scene. It is 74 by 93 centimetres which is roughly two and a half feet by three feet, the painting was placed in a galactic gold frame. With swirling brush strokes the sky whisks the viewers  eyes across the painting outline them almost off the edge of the painting, but the bright, glowing rounded moon grabs the viewers attention and brings them right back into the painting. There is somewhat of a downward slant from the right side which takes the viewer into the calm town.The 11 stars create a rhythm in the sky and van Gogh uses the repetition of the circular stars to pass off the flow in the sky going smoothly across the canvas. The rhythm helps the viewers eyes move from object to object in the painting.
